Inside iAdmit

Life, culture and the people behind India's first-mover edtech company.

The company

Who we are, without the adjectives

iAdmit began in 2009 with a single institute partnership and a counselling desk of four people. Seventeen years later the company works with 45 institutions, runs 146 programmes, and has guided 3,50,000+ professionals through a qualification taken alongside a full-time job.

The operating model has not changed much. The institute owns the academics — curriculum, faculty, assessment and certification. iAdmit owns everything around it: counselling before enrolment, financing, scheduling, cohort management, learner support and the reporting that tells everyone whether it worked.

It is a company of counsellors, programme managers, academics, engineers and marketers, headquartered in Mumbai with counselling centres across 150+ cities. The listed entity is iAdmit Institute of Technology Management and Research Limited, on the NSE and BSE since 2025.

Say the inconvenient thing early

A counsellor who talks a candidate out of the wrong programme is doing the job correctly. The same applies internally: a project that is not working is raised in week three, not at review.

Own the outcome, not the task

Roles here are defined by what has to be true at the end, not by a list of activities. That makes handovers rarer and accountability harder to shift.

Write it down

Proposals circulate as a one-page note before the meeting. Meetings exist to disagree with the note, which makes them shorter and considerably more useful.

The learner is in the room

Every significant decision is tested against a specific person: a thirty-four-year-old with a full-time job, a family and four hours a week. If it does not work for them, it does not ship.

Life at iAdmit

Four things that describe a normal week

Not perks. The rhythms that actually shape how the week runs.

01

Mornings belong to counselling

The first half of the day is protected for learner calls across the network. Internal meetings are pushed after two o'clock, which is why the office sounds like a trading floor until lunch.

02

Cohort weekends

Programme managers rotate through Saturday cohort duty. It is the single best way to understand what the company actually sells, and every new manager does a stint regardless of function.

03

Open programme benefit

Every permanent employee can take one iAdmit-partnered certification a year at no cost. A substantial share of the team is studying something at any given time.

04

Quarterly all-hands with the numbers

Admissions, completion, revenue and the things that went wrong, presented in the same format every quarter. Questions are taken live and unfiltered.
